New Jersey participates in Nursys. Authorize Nursys to release your current license record to the NJ State Board of Nursing. If your home state is not on Nursys, request paper verification from your state board and mail it to the NJ Board of Nursing in Newark. Paper verification adds 2-4 weeks.
Complete fingerprinting for background check
New Jersey requires electronic fingerprinting through IdentoGO or an authorized vendor for New Jersey State Police and FBI background checks. Schedule at identogo.com using the NJ Board of Nursing service code. Pay the fingerprint fee (~$42-50) and attend your appointment. Results transmit electronically to the Board.
Monitor application status via NJLA

Continuing education for renewal
