National medians are sourced from 2025-2026 industry compensation surveys and BLS Occupational Employment Statistics for nursing and allied health roles. The calculator applies three multipliers to the national median:
- State cost-of-living: 0.90x (MS) to 1.18x (CA)
- Experience curve: 0.82x (0-2y) to 1.15x (10-20y)
- Practice setting: 0.88x (academic) to 1.12x (private practice)
