Where SLP demand is highest in Washington
Seattle metro is Washington's SLP epicenter. UW Medicine, which includes UW Medical Center and Harborview Medical Center, carries active SLP openings in acute care, voice, fluency, and augmentative communication. Swedish Health Services (now part of Providence) operates multiple Seattle campuses with strong inpatient and outpatient SLP programs. Seattle Children's Hospital is the state's premier pediatric SLP employer, with nationally recognized programs in autism, feeding disorders, and AAC. The collective density of these institutions makes the Seattle market extremely competitive for candidates.
Spokane is the dominant market in eastern Washington. Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center and MultiCare Deaconess Hospital serve a large inland Northwest catchment area.
