How to Get an Occupational Therapist License in California (2026)
California does not participate in the OT Compact, requiring all out-of-state OTs to complete full endorsement through the CA Board of Occupational Therapy — typically an 8–12 week process including fingerprinting. Major employers include UCSF Health, Cedars-Sinai, Kaiser Permanente, Children's Hospital LA, and Providence Health.

OT Compact vs. full endorsement
